Privacy Policy

1. Information handled by TAWFIQ

Location. If you grant location permission, TAWFIQ may access your approximate or precise device location to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. A selected or resolved prayer location, including coordinates needed for those calculations, may be stored locally on your device so the App can continue to provide its features. TAWFIQ does not request background-location permission.

Compass and device sensors. Qibla features may use device orientation, rotation, and magnetic-field sensor readings to determine heading and alignment. These readings are used for Qibla functionality on the device and are not sent to a NIXORITA server.

Prayer, notification, and app preferences. Prayer calculation settings, reminder choices, Adhan/notification preferences, selected theme or language, prayer-history or companion-tool settings, saved mosque-related preferences, and similar App settings may be stored locally on your device.

Qur'an reading data. Qur'an reading position, bookmarks, reader preferences, and downloaded audio state may be stored locally to provide continuity between sessions. The Qur'an text used by the App is bundled with the App and does not require a NIXORITA account.

2. Location permissions

TAWFIQ may request Android approximate and/or precise location permission when location-based prayer or Qibla features need it. You can deny the permission and use a manually selected or previously saved location where the App provides that option. You can also change Android location permissions at any time in your device settings.

3. Notifications and Adhan

TAWFIQ may request notification permission to deliver prayer reminders and related alerts. Notification schedules and choices are used to provide the reminder features you enable. Android may also allow the App to restore scheduled reminders after a device restart. You can disable notifications in TAWFIQ or in Android system settings.

4. Qur'an audio and network access

TAWFIQ includes internet access for user-initiated features such as Qur'an audio streaming or downloads and for advertising. Qur'an audio may be streamed or downloaded from third-party hosting, including Wikimedia Commons. When your device connects to a third-party host, that provider may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, request details, device/browser or application network metadata, and technical logs according to its own policies.

5. Advertising and Google privacy services

TAWFIQ uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertising and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising privacy choices where applicable.

Google's advertising technology may automatically collect or receive information such as IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app and ad interactions, diagnostic or performance information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google's configuration, this information may be used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and related advertising purposes.

6. Consent and privacy choices

Where required, TAWFIQ uses Google UMP to present advertising consent or privacy options. Available choices can differ by country or region. If a privacy-options control is available in the App, you may use it to revisit your current advertising privacy choices. Android system settings may also provide controls for permissions and advertising identifiers.

7. How information is used and shared

NIXORITA uses data stored locally by TAWFIQ to provide the features you request, such as prayer calculations, Qibla direction, reminders, Qur'an continuity, downloads, and preferences. NIXORITA does not operate an account or cloud-sync backend that receives your prayer history, Qur'an bookmarks, compass readings, or saved prayer location as part of the App's core functionality.

We do not sell your locally stored prayer, Qur'an, Qibla, or location data. Third-party services may receive information necessary to provide their services as described above, including Google for advertising/privacy services and network hosts when you request Qur'an audio.

8. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored App data remains on your device until you change or clear it through available App controls, clear the App's storage, delete downloaded files, or uninstall the App. NIXORITA does not maintain a server-side copy of this local App data as part of TAWFIQ's core features.

Information processed by Google, Wikimedia, or other network providers is retained according to those providers' respective policies and settings.

9. Security

We design TAWFIQ to limit unnecessary data collection and to keep core worship-related data on the device where practical. Network communications performed by Android and third-party SDKs use the security mechanisms provided by those services. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children's privacy

TAWFIQ does not require a NIXORITA account and is not designed to collect personal information directly from users through an account system. Advertising and third-party services are subject to their own policies, applicable law, regional requirements, and the settings used for the App.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when TAWFIQ's features, third-party services, our practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
